Email support@apphive.tech with what happened and what you expected instead. Your iPhone model and iOS version help, and so does whether you have an Apple Watch paired — several of Stride’s earning sources only exist when one is.

Minutes aren't appearing

Stride reads movement totals from Apple Health, and Health delivers step data to apps in the background roughly hourly rather than instantly. Opening Stride forces a fresh read, and pulling down on the Home tab forces another.

If the number still looks wrong, check that Health access is granted in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Stride. Note that manually-typed Health entries are deliberately ignored, and that steps recorded during a workout are paid at the better of the two rates rather than counted twice.

The shield isn't pausing my apps

Arming the shield needs three things: Screen Time access granted, at least one app selected, and an active subscription. If Screen Time access was denied, Stride runs in Bank Mode — you keep earning, and you can grant access later from the You tab to start actually pausing apps.

Bear in mind that Stride pauses only what you picked. Phone, Messages and everything outside your selection are never touched.

I want to pause or turn the shield off

That is deliberately a few taps rather than one: a breathing screen, then a 30-second press-and-hold, then a choice of one hour or the rest of the day. It re-arms itself the next morning. Nothing about this is designed to trap you — only to be slower than a walk.

Manage or cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions to change plan or cancel. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

For refunds, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you bought a subscription and the app doesn’t recognise it, use Restore Purchases on the paywall — Stride has no account, so restoring is how an entitlement finds its way back.

If a subscription lapses, Stride stops pausing your apps immediately and hands them back. You never need to contact us to unblock your own apps.

Privacy and data requests

Stride stores your data on your device, so an export is built into the app and Reset Stride erases everything. For anything else — an access request, a deletion request covering purchase records, or a complaint — email support@apphive.tech. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
